Our pediatric general surgery team, including pediatric surgeons skilled in minimally invasive surgery, has more than 150 years of combined experience providing specialized, patient-specific care for infants, children and adolescents in need of conventional and advanced treatment for head, neck, abdominal, chest, genital and soft tissue conditions.
Our pediatric general surgeons have performed thousands of emergency surgeries. Whether your child has gastrointestinal feeding issues or needs elective or emergency surgery for new or congenital conditions or those caused by birth defects, we’ll work one-on-one with you and your child’s primary care physician to develop a comprehensive, customized treatment plan.

Our pediatric general surgery team works with specialists from related fields — including the Advanced Maternal Newborn Institute, congenital heart surgery, hematology and oncology, nephrology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, radiology and many others — to ensure your child receives the most comprehensive care possible. Should your child need it, our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides the highest level of NICU care in Dallas, and our dedicated children's ER has private rooms with space for you to stay with your child.
