On September 29, 2016, while in town for the 91st Annual State Fair Classic Game at the Cotton Bowl, players and members of the Prairie View A&M University football team visited Medical City Children’s Hospital patients fighting life-threatening illnesses. They brought toys and books for the kids, and team leaders will also present Medical City Children’s Hospital CEO Keith Zimmerman with a small gift prior to visiting with patients.

The Prairie View A&M University Panthers football team, from Prairie View, Texas, were in Dallas to play in the 91st Annual State Fair Classic Game at the Cotton Bowl against the Grambling State University Tigers on October 1, 2016.
