Medical City Dallas Hospital announced today that it has earned recognition as a 2014 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States.
Medical City Dallas Hospital was recognized for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, children’s asthma, and perinatal care, and is one of 1,043 hospitals out of more than 3,300 eligible hospitals in the United States to achieve the 2014 Top Performer distinction.
“This prestigious recognition from The Joint Commission is a direct reflection of Medical City’s dedication to evidence-based clinical practices that help ensure the best possible outcomes for the patients we’re privileged to treat,” said Troy Villarreal, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer at Medical City Dallas Hospital. “We are proud to be named a Top Performer as it recognizes the knowledge, teamwork and dedication of our entire hospital staff to our mission for the care and improvement of human life.”
