DALLAS – Jessica O’Neal has been named chief executive officer (CEO) of Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas, effective December 10.

Since 2016, O’Neal has served as chief operating officer of the 515-bed West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. The facility is owned by Medical City Dallas’ parent company, HCA Healthcare. Under O’Neal’s leadership, pediatric specialty care network services and providers were integrated into West Florida Hospital’s delivery system and she launched a wide spectrum of pediatric services including orthopedics, cardiology, pulmonology, ENT, GI, urology and imaging services.

“Jessica’s extensive experience with hospital executive operational strategies and launching new pediatric services brings additional expertise to Medical City Children’s Hospital as we continue to grow and provide advanced pediatric healthcare and women’s services for our patients,” said Chris Mowan, CEO of Medical City Dallas.

O’Neal previously served as VP of operations and chief operating officer of Methodist Dallas Medical Center where she oversaw surgical services, oncology, neurosurgery, cardiology, radiology, weight management, respiratory therapy, food services, environmental services, physical plant, the GI lab, communications, police and volunteer services.

O’Neal brings fourteen years of healthcare experience to the role. She holds a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics from Texas Christian University.
